Four days to go!

Posted in Travel | 1 Comment »

In four days we head out on our next adventure. This time…1200 miles down the West Coast! ROAD TRIP!

We fly into Seattle and will spend a few days there visiting Pikes Place Market and Seattle Center. We have dinner reservations in the Space Needle restaurant the very first night of our trip. Then we’ll head out to Portland. I can’t wait to stroll through the market and get lost in Powell’s City of Books! Not to mention indulging in a voodoo doughnut along the way.

We’ll drive through Oregon and into Napa Valley. Oh, I can smell the grapevines now.
Eventually we’ll make it to San Francisco. Cable cars, sourdough bread, fog covered bridges. I can’t wait!

Then the real road trip begins as we head down Hwy 1 and the beautiful California coast! Redwood trees, cliffside driving, whale watching…oh man it’s going to be beautiful.

Eventually we cross over Los Angeles and end up in Phoenix. We love Phoenix. The cacti are so cool and the weather is like paradise (for me anyway…Mark loves the cold).

One thing it’s important to mention. This is a semi-business trip. I mean, if you can call flying out west with your husband so you can bellydance in Seattle with your best friends and the best tribal belly dance group ever (hey FatChance ladies) working. Then enjoying some one on one time with your love on a romantic drive only to end up meeting your same friends, plus some long lost ones, in Phoenix for a another performance. Yeah, hard work…but I think we’ll suffer through.

As usual, our adventures never quite turn out as planned. I can’t wait to see what we get ourselves in to!

What it’s all about

Posted in Life | No Comments »

Welcome to epicuriosity.net! This site is all about two people discovering the world one pleasure at a time! The purpose of this site is to share our wonderful adventures of LIFE with friends, family and what ever stranger happens upon it. So many travel shows, books and documentaries are of one person trekking the globe telling you all about places they think you’d like and why. We’d rather share the fun we have traveling together, to places we want to go. You know…traveling like real people do!

Oh sure, between travels we’ll be blogging about dance, music, food, drink, festivals and life in general, but that’s part of the journey of the biggest trip of all…..living life to it’s fullest!
